Introduction

The cunning of the Purpi has always been underestimated—and they aren’t (yet) the dominant species only because they’re lazy!

In PurpleTako, better known as “O Gioc ro Purptiell,” you’ll play as one of these Purpi and try to survive the attacks of humans who want to cook you… or, even worse, the low blows from other Purpi!
Between Human Threats and Purpic Strategies, only those who use wit and timing will avoid ending up on a dinner plate!

Goal of the Game

PurpleTako is both a cooperative and competitive card game.

Your aim is to survive the human threat, collecting as many Purpo-Tentacles as possible thanks to your strategies and your Purpo-Powa.

• Collaborate with or betray your fellow Purpi to stay alive.
• Play Purpic Strategy cards to defend yourself or strike others.
• Survive the Human Threats before it’s too late!

When a Purpo loses all their tentacles, they end up on the humans’ plate and are eliminated from the game.

The winner is whoever has the most Purpo-Tentacles at the end and is crowned Purpo-King or Purpo-Queen.

How to Play

• Each player chooses a Purptiè card and receives 8 tentacles.
• The Human Threats deck is placed in the center of the table.
• Each turn, draw a Threat and respond by playing Purpic Strategies or activating your Purpo-Powa.
• If you lose all your tentacles, you’re out of the game!
• When the Threats run out, the Purpo with the most tentacles wins the game.

• 2–8 players
• 15–25 minutes
• Recommended age: 10+
